April 1963. On “hog” island, collecting echinoderm samples for Western. Hog Island became Nassau’s Paradise Island. Friend Nick Smyrnios became a Delta Airline Captain.
Under a lot of pressure at college; fortunately, with my roommate George (to my left) I was able to handle it. A “boonie” on a Lake Michigan beach.

Just fun to see this team again—they are all 50 years old now. Coach Kleiman on left, a great athlete, is in the U.P. Sports Hall of Fame.
