First Gladstone HS wrestling team, 1968-69. Wonderful sport, great athletes. Caught on well in HS and Elementary. Had over 90 kids on the mats the next year. They asked me to start the program because I was on Western’s Judo team.
Diving with my best HS buddies, now deceased. New ’61 VW. NAUI certified 8 years later. Loved to dive—now wouldn’t recommend diving without formal classes first.
17 at Camp Rota-Kiwan BSA near Kalamazoo. Taught canoeing, life saving and at times the other Aquatic Merit Badges. Completed National Aquatics School.
